Arranging A Funeral
Our service to you starts from the moment that you contact us. Whether this is by telephone or calling in to our funeral home personally, this personal service often extends way beyond the day of the funeral.
On initial contact, we will ask you for some preliminary details. We will need to establish where your loved one has passed away, whether at home, hospital or a residential care home. Once instructed, we will bring the deceased into our care and advise you accordingly of your next steps.
There will be a number of decisions that you will need to make when planning and arranging a funeral. We will be able to advise you and help you through this emotional time by explaining to you the full range of professional funeral services that we can offer, whatever style you feel is fitting for your loved one.
Emma and her team will make arrangements on your behalf with the registrar, minister’s, clergy, celebrants, cemeteries and crematoria, as well as other third parties as required. Our aim is to remove any burden from the families we serve during what is already a traumatic time.
Relatives and friends often wish to visit their loved one and pay their last respects before the day of the funeral in our private chapel of rest. We will only allow this on the specific request of the family.
The care we take of your loved ones is very important to us at Emma Bouston Funeral Services. The last time you saw them may have been a distressing memory, perhaps in hospital or for the purposes of identification. Whatever the circumstances, we believe that in asking us to look after a member of your family, you can be certain that they receive the best care and attention possible.
